Anyone who watched The West Wing remembers the debate episode. Everyone knows President Bartlet is smarter than his opponent, but his staff is worried about how the press will spin his arrogance.
That is, until the debate actually starts. Bartlet is in command from the first question, but he still comes off a little snarky next to his folksy, plain-spoken opponent.
Then he lands a knockout, much like this:
Like Governor Ritchie, Trump never recovered. Kamala Harris won this debate, and it wasn’t close. While most of our focus group thought she would in our pre-debate survey, any doubt was erased in the follow-up.
After Bartlet’s debate, his opponent concedes the election onstage. He cruises to a landslide, and nobody claims fraud. That’s where our West Wing fantasy ends.
This is not the 2002 of Aaron Sorkin’s imagination. In the age of TikTok, those ten-word answers are all the rage. Who cares if what anyone says is even true.
There are 52 days until Election Day. We all have to do the work to turn out the vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.
Our focus group data shows that Democrats like you are fired up to vote. So we’re deploying our new technology to help make sure everyone is registered on time and has a plan to go to the polls in every state.
We’re working hard to get things finished in time for early voting, and we can’t wait to share it all with you soon.
